Rural Engagement Team

This week’s Rural Engagement Team newsletter has mainly been focusing on Road Safety regarding the increased temperatures we have already had and those to be expected to rise again this weekend. As part of the #SummerRoadSafetyEssex campaign, working together with the Safer Essex Road partnership, Essex police are asking drivers to make positive decisions to improve their driving ability and encourage others to do the same.  Find out more by clicking here.

Essex PFC Commissioner

Top stories from the PFCC include the news of extra funding towards the support of survivors of sexual and domestic abuse via the Ministry of Justice. Their goal is to provide appropriate support with care and compassion to all victims- see how they will be doing this by clicking here. ASB Awareness was also a focus with an ASB Awareness Week from the 18th-22nd July which sees the PFC and its partners engaging with younger people and discussing the impact it has on the community. Essex County Fire & Rescue

This latest press release reports again on amid record-breaking temperatures and dry conditions, leading to Essex County Fire and Rescue Service appealing to the public for their support. Control operators have received more than 300 calls since midnight on Tuesday – with firefighters attending more than 130 incidents as of 4pm today, following 157 on Monday. Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is asking people to only call 999 in a genuine emergency and to help us to help you, by following our safety advice. Read more by clicking here.
