Firstly welcome to Bob Dodson who has joined us as Parish Councillor – we look forward to working with you.

and sadly, goodbye to Nina & Ian, who have both worked tirelessly for our village – Thank you for all your hard work.

EVENTS in and around Rowhedge are, as always on the usual link, but let me draw your attention to a new event Rowhedge Community Fair on the 14-15th May.- note that there will be an excellent exhibition hosted by the Rowhedge Heritage Trust at the village hall as well.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order of Weir Lane.

Please click on the following link to find details of the intended closure of Weir Lane, due to commence on 3rd May 2022 for 7 days. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Essex County Council undertakes carriageway patching.

New sustainable travel app for Essex launched  A free-to-use sustainable journey planner, the new TravelEssex app helps people in Essex to plan their journeys and travel by foot, bike, bus and train anywhere in the county.  Providing real-time travel information, users are given detailed expected journey and departure times for walking and cycling routes as well as bus services, including First, Arriva, Hedingham, and Stephensons, as well as Greater Anglia and C2C rail, National Rail and London Underground trains.  To download the TravelEssex app, search for it on the Play or Apple app store.

Household Drop off dates for 2022; June 11th & August 6th 8-9.15am ALL at Rowhedge Village Hall car park.

BUSES!  It’s all change here in Rowhedge with the buses.  Firstly we would like to thank everyone who has got in contact with us to tell us of the change.  The NEW SCHEDULES have been printed off and put up on the bus shelters.  Also see the links to the new schedules.  Here in the office we have requested that First Buses change the timetables at the bus stops as they are embarrassingly out of date.

ROWHEDGE SHANTY FESTIVAL; 21st May Tour the village and listen to the Shanty Singers! From 2pm Singers will be performing in at The Albion, The Anchor, Food & Drink will be available to purchase at The Three Crowns-The Finale 7pm at the Social Club -where more food & drink will be available – more detail to follow.


PARISH ASSEMBLY.  5th May 7pm at St Lawrence School!!!  Come and hear what EDOC have been up to over the last year, learn more about what local groups have been doing and hear who have won Community Awards & £100 for their local organisation or charity-refreshments will be available on the night.
