Friday Catch Up – 17th June

Good Afternoon Everyone

We hope you are enjoying this very hot day and you are all keeping safe & well.

A big thank you to everyone who has got in touch to help us look after the footpaths in & around Rowhedge.  We appreciate it.  We would also like to thank Ian Rose-who very kindly trimmed back the footpath from Rectory Rd down into Ashurst Close.

Events.  Now there is a lot happening this weekend as you will see.  Firstly the Regatta – on the waterfront here in lovely Rowhedge.  There is parking available at Battleswick Farm for a small fee.  The Regatta opens at noon and finishes at 6pm.

The Three Crowns are opening their garden gates once again from 1pm where there will be a bar & food available.

There is a Regatta After Party at Battleswick Farm, do check out their Instagram page and Facebook for more details.  The band Bouncing Off Concrete are playing at the Social Club in the evening from 8pm (I think) check out their social media for more info, I do know it is a ticket only event.

Buses; EDPC are working with County Councillor Kevin Bentley to convene a public meeting to work out if there is anything that can be done about the reduced bus service & to hear the views of the bus users.  Will keep you all updated.

Goodbye 🙁 Simon Heard who has been guiding Mariners Chapel and the wider village in Faith, will be leaving after 6 years of hard work.  His last service is this Sunday coming the 19th June at 10.30am at the Chapel.  Thank You Simon for all you have brought to Rowhedge – you will be missed.

That’s it – Happy Friday!!

Increase the peace and not the heat.

Stay cool.

Beth & Michelle
