  • Chairman of East Donyland Parish Council
  • Member of the Maintenance Committee
  • Member of the Finance & Personnel Committee
Rowhedge is a special place and I have had the privilege of living here for the last 18 years with my wife and daughter. I am very proud to have served on the Council for a number of years and enjoy the daily interaction with the community.
I have been employed by a large local retailer for over 30 years and I work within the IT Services department.
My interests are mainly outdoor, be it on land, sea or river, all of which are served fantastically in, or close, to Rowhedge.

Councillor Anna Appleyard

  • Vice chair of East Donyland Parish Council
  • Chair of the Finance & Personnel Committee
Like many before me, I was charmed by the riverside aspect of Rowhedge and the surrounding countryside and so in 2010 I moved here.  I live with my husband and two school-age children.  I am passionate about enhancing the enjoyment of this beautiful village for all those who wish to share it.  I have over 20 years of experience in education as manager of a Nursery in Sydney, Australia and as a Primary School Teacher in London & Colchester.   I have a keen interest in the environment and also in Community.

I’ve lived in the village for over 20 years and have raised two children here who are now grown up. I’m currently raising a younger child and I’m a stay-at -home mum.

In the past I worked in Higher Education running courses in Health and Social Care.

Rowhedge is a lovely, safe place to raise your children and I’d like future generations of parents to be able to feel the same as I felt raising my children.

Councillor Ian Pettitt

I have lived in the village for over a decade, my background is, Marketing & Communications and playing music to people on dancefloors.
I have a very keen interest in all sports, and after spending 18 months renovating our house in Rowhedge, I’ve found I don’t actually mind DIY.
We are all extremely lucky to live in this inspiring place, with such a fantastic community
